Pramod is luckier than his 7 siblings because he is getting a good education

Pramod Kumar, Son of Buddhu Manjhi
Dear Sumit, Microsoft, Komal, and Kandace,

Thank you all for supporting Pramod, a 17-year-old living near Bihar, India. He is currently in the eighth grade at Shoshit Samadhan Kendra, the free English medium school run by Shoshit Seva Sangh. Pramod’s father, Buddhu, is a landless laborer he sometimes also works for a hand-pump installation contractor. His mother, Dukhni, is also a casual laborer. Pramod has a large number of siblings: four brothers and three sisters that are all younger than him. The monthly income of his parents is around 3000 rupees, or $60 American. His father cannot afford proper schooling for his eight children and Shoshit Samadhan Kendra is a dream come true for his eldest. Pramod has been in school for five years and his performance has shown marked improvement this year, particularly in math, science and social studies. He secured overall marks of 81% last year.

For the last two years, his tuition and clothing and medical care has been supported by SeeYourImpact supporters, and because of your generosity, he will be able to attend school and receive care for one more year. Thank you all for your kindness!
