For Ramesh life will now have a new meaning.
posted June 10, 2010
Ramesh Manjhi belongs to a remote village in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. He joined the school in 2007. The parents of Ramesh are both landless day laborers. With their four children, they have only known extreme poverty and hopelessness. Their village is prone to flooding every year adding to their misery. Ramesh who joined the school in 2007 has shown determination to succeed. His progress in academics is indeed commendable. In the past year Ramesh improved his grades in each subject, notably his grade in English from 60% to 86% and his grade in science from 69% to 96%.
A bright future now beckons Ramesh, made possible by generous donations received from Tony (12 weeks), Mirunan (8 weeks), Sean (4 weeks), Salil (4 weeks), Francisco (2 weeks), and a match by Neil.
