Shekhar is nine years old and is one of four children.
Shekhar’s father is a casual agricultural laborer and his mother is a house wife. He has two brothers and one sister who is 3 years old. The family lives well below the poverty line in a ghetto in the outskirts of Patna and the father cannot afford to send the children to school. For Shekhar joining the fully free English medium residential school run by the Shoshit Seva Sangh is indeed a dream come true.
Shekhar has been attending the school run for two years now and his performance has indeed been promising.
A few week back, Shekhar received a donation that took care of his clothing and medical care for a year. Your donation of a month of tuition, Pooja, Cheryl, Allison and Marshall (x 9) will ensure that he is able to continue studying at the school run by the Shoshit Seva Sangh.
Thank you, Pooja, Cheryl, Allison and Marshall, for ensuring that Shekhar and his family continue to hold onto the dream of a better tomorrow.
