Vikash is 9 years old and both his parents, Mahendra and Rita, are illiterate landless laborers living about 50 kilometers from Patna, India. Vikash has one brother and one sister, both younger than him.
Vikash joined the Shoshit Samadhan Kendra school, a fully free English medium residential school in 2009, in pre-school class, and has shown great promise in his studies.
In the final exams in the pre-school class he averaged 95%, scoring 97% in English, 89% in Hindi and 96% in Maths. Vikash is now in class II and at this tender age he has shown a remarkable disposition for studies. Though he has a long road to travel, he certainly deserves the opportunity that he has been given to excel in life.
Thank you, Praveen (x2), Lowry, Jerame, Jeffrey, Dwayne and Terese, Peter and Kim, Butson, Sumit (x3), and Bhargavan, for coming together to support his tuition for a whole year!
ThankĀ you, Vinayak, for donating clothing and an entire year of comprehensive medical care to Vikash.
