Ajay will do his parents proud
posted June 8, 2012
Thank you for supporting Ajay Kumar.
Ajay is 10 yrs. old and comes from a Musahar Ghetto in a village called Khhori in a district called Samastipur in Bihar, India. Both his parents (father- Mahendra Sada and mother- Lala Devi) are illiterate and work as landless agricultural labourers. They get seasonal employment and live much below the poverty line. His prematurely aging parents can hardly afford a decent life for themselves and their six children.
Ajay Kumar, however, can now look forward to a transformed and bright future. He was admitted to Shoshit Samadhan Kendra, a school for Musahar children run by Shoshit Seva Sangh in December 2007 and after graduating from grade 3 is now preparing to go to grade 4. He is a bright boy, and his teachers feel that if he puts in a little more effort he can get straight As in all his subjects.
Thank you, Christopher, for providing an entire year of clothing and comprehensive medical care to Ajay.
Thank you, Rick and Beth, Kandace, Hiral, Charlie, Salil, William and Max for coming together to support Ajay’s tuition for an entire year.
He can now aspire to become a well educated young man and all indications are that he should achieve this with the kindness of those who want to support him.
This is the third year in which Ajay has been supported by SeeYourImpact donors, and when you look at the older stories (http://sss.seeyourimpact.org/2011/06/16/ajays-can-tackle-the-challenge-of-grade-3-without-worrying-about-anything-else/, http://sss.seeyourimpact.org/2010/05/06/ajay-now-has-access-to-a-quality-education/), you can see how he is growing into a fine young man.
