Vikash is a promising child

Vikash is 16 years old and is studying in 6th grade at Shoshit Seva Sangh. His parents are illiterate day laborers. The monthly income of his father and the mother would add up to 2000 rupees ($40) approximately, which is barely enough for the family to make both ends meet.

A boy like Vikash could never have dreamt of getting the kind of education that he is getting at the free English medium residential school run by Shoshit Seva Sangh. He has grasped this opportunity with both hands. He is is a very promising child and particularly keen to learn English. His spoken English is praiseworthy.
