Pramod has a bright future ahead of him

Pramod Manjhi
Dear Michael, Carroll, Emily, Nikhil, Tom, Max, Peter, Ted and Pam, Adam, Bill and Colleen, Tim and Sherie, Marty & Lorraine, Kenneth, and Rao,

Thank you for coming together to send Pramod to school for an entire year.

Pramod is 10 yrs old and comes from a Musahar Ghetto in a village called Rajwara located in the state of Bihar, India. Pramod’s family lives well below the poverty line. Both his parents are illiterate landless agricultural labourers. His father, Dhaneshwar, with three sons and three daughters, can barely afford one square meal a day.

Pramod is a bright student. He was admitted at Shoshit Samadhan Kendra, a school run by Shoshit Seva Sangh for the children of the Musahar Community in December 2007 and he has now been promoted to grade three. His performance in the final exams in grade I and II was very good.

During the last academic year, thanks to the previous support from donors on SeeYourImpact, Pramod’s tuition and clothing and medical care was sponsored for a full year.

Last year in Grade two, Pramod secured an overall 93.8% scoring, 91/100 in English, 96/100 in Hindi, 94/100 in Maths, 95/100 in Science and 94/100 in Social Studies.

For Pramod, quality education is now within his reach thanks to your support!
